Lengua y pensamiento: autobiograffa de la lengua popoluca

Abstract

Salome Gutierrez Morales of the Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios Superiores en Antropologia Social del Golfo (Center for Research and Advanced Studies in Social Anthropology of the Gulf in Veracruz, Mexico), is a native speaker of Soteapan Popoluca, also called Popoluca de la Sierra. Popoluca is in the Mixezoqueana language family; its linguistic relatives are Zoque in Chiapas and Oaxaca, and Mixe in Oaxaca. This original language autobiography was composed in Popoluca and translated by Gutierrez into Spanish.
