Abstract

The characteristics of Bunyu Island as a small island which was surrounded by the sea, has capture fisheries resource potential in an abundant, one of them is red snapper (Lutjanus sp.). These fish was caught by using bottom fish pots from bamboo with one entrance. The aims of the study were to determine the weight length and the aquatics environmental conditions correlation of the red snapper fishing ground (Lutjanus sp.) which was caught by modified bottom fish pots with poly vinyl chloride (PVC) in Bunyu Waters. The research was conducted in September - October 2020. The results showed that the growth of red snapper was negative allometric. The results of partial and simultaneous regression tests show that there is no positive effect of water condition factors (temperature, dissolved oxygen, salinity and brightness) on catches of red snapper (Lutjanus sp.) with modified bottom fish pots
