Abstract
According to the Law on Sport during the organization of sport events, organizers are obliged to enable safe conduct of a competition. Also, in case of any violations, the organizers provide safe and adequate care. Therefore, it is necessary to have a doctor who has experience in preventing sports injuries during a sport competition. The doctor must have experience in dealing with sports injuries, he/she must have completed the First Aid course and must carry with him a medical bag that should contain certain medicines that are necessary in daily work with athletes on the sport field. The aim of our work was to point out the importance of the doctor at the above mentioned manifestations, as well as to present a list of necessary medical devices on a sport field.
