Abstract
These authors queried 469 elderly community-dwelling residents (ages 75 to 85 years) about participation in cognitively stimulating leisure activities to determine whether there was any association with later development of dementia. The study lasted 21 years. Over a median follow-up of 5.1 years, 124 subjects became demented.
