Abstract
According to Dannreuther, leiomyosarcoma implies sarcomatous change in a tumor composed chiefly of relatively histologically mature but physiologically immature unstriped muscle cells. Other terms designating the same condition, depending upon the pathologist’s interpretation, are leio-blastoma; myosarcoma; myoma malignum; and highly cellular myoma.
