Abstract

The article provides a comparative analysis of the legal system of People Republic of China and the Russian Federation legal system. Special attention is paid to the sources of law, the system of law and the system of legislation. The work highlights such components of legal systems as law, legal mechanisms, legal practice, prevailing legal ideology, etc. As part of the analysis of the legal system of the People’s Republic of China, the features of the legal systems of the administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau, as well as the province of Taiwan, are considered. Attention is drawn to the mixed nature of the legal system of mainland China, the influence of the norms of traditional law. Conducting comparative legal studies will strengthen integration processes, increase the importance of the Russian Federation in the international arena, and the effectiveness of its interaction with foreign countries, including through BRICS.
