Abstract
The rapid development of food processing technology, especially in food and beverages, makes Muslims increase their vigilance and demand clarity on the halal status of each product so that consumption and use can run smoothly. As a country with a Muslim majority population, it is also necessary to regulate non-halal labels so that people can be more convinced of their rights as consumers of halal products. Regarding the method used by normative research results to make the explanation more relevant, a legal approach is needed in every discussion. Thus, the researchers took up the debate on the reconstruction of food label standards in consumer protection measures in Muslim-majority countries.
