Abstract

This paper was drafted to direct the Roundtable discussion on International Chamber of Commerce and Comite Maritime International instruments which took place on Monday 29th April 2019. The aim of the discussion was to map out the extent to which these instruments, taken together, address the legal uncertainties created by digitalisation (the substitution of paper documents by digital alternatives within international trade, transportation and trade finance processes), with a view to identifying further work that may be necessary in this field.
