Therefore, research is needed entitled Legal Protection for Affected Parties in the Theft of Customary Land in Indonesia. The research method used is empirical research, namely a type of legal research that aims to determine the position of law and see the law in reality that applies in society. Research in this journal also uses a Juridical Sociological approach, namely conducting research with the aim of obtaining empirical legal knowledge by carrying out an analysis of the research object. The government's efforts to provide protection for the rights of indigenous peoples are by issuing rules and policies relating to the protection of community rights.
