Abstract

Policyof law is one of the most important legal sciences and also one most neglected. We adopt a view that legal politics should be an interdisciplinary enterprise. One of the first proponents of this view was Polish legal philosopher Leon Petrazycki. Petrazycki claimed that legal policy is a psychological science and should be built on psychological basis. We strongly believe that today this goal cannot be achieved without insights from cognitive psychology and behavioral economics. Behavioral law and economics movement – following footsteps of Petrazcki’s thought – can enrich contemporary policy of law through providing a scientific basis and a more adequate view on human nature and human actions.
