Abstract
Two attorneys who serve on hospital ethics committees address arguments against the inclusion of lawyers on these committees. Mitchell and Swartz believe that participation by an ethically concerned and sensitive attorney can bring a valuable perspective to committee deliberations, particularly in the areas of case consultation and policy development.
