Abstract

The central part of European “legal science” (Rechtswissenschaft) consists of “legal dogmatics” (Rechtsdogmatik), interpreting and systematizing legal norms. Legal dogmatics is analytical-evaluative in principle. Its method is similar to judicial method, although legal scholars have no power to decide cases and think in a more general manner than judges.
