Abstract

Health care providers in the field of rehabilitation medicine are often presented with questions pertaining to legal-medical issues and federal civil rights laws. The two most often referenced laws concerning rehabilitation are The Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. A review is provided that will better prepare providers to answer questions regarding these acts.
