Abstract

Though there are a few reports of left-sided gastroschisis, it is typically a right-sided abdominal wall defect. Most hypotheses advanced to explain this condition have taken into account the right-sidedness of the condition. We report two cases of left-sided gastroschisis and discuss their possible aetiology, including the data from similar reports in the literature.
