Abstract

A previously described angiocardiographic method has been used to determine left ventricular mass in 28 patients. Weight of the left ventricle at autopsy has been compared with calculated mass. The method has been shown to be reliable in the absence of marked right ventricular hypertrophy, pericardial effusion, or adhesive pericarditis.
