Left ventricle metastasis of esophageal cancer mimicking myocardial infarction in myocardial perfusion scintigraphy

Abstract

Although myocardial metastasis is comparatively more common than primary cardiac tumors, its frequency is still very rare. Here we report a case of 58-year-old man who underwent stress myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) for suspected acute coronary syndrome and was later found to have a left ventricular metastasis from esophageal cancer.
