Abstract
In Ecuador, especially in the country ́s politics, Theatre has played a much more important role than it was thought. Thinking of aesthetics as related to politics can be an interesting key to read the theatre from Quito.This kind of analysis will not focus on political theatre but it will rather explore its political scope and the relationship they may have with politics. This political scope has various sides. Having may possible nuances, it has gone from theatres to streets, from depicting everyday scenes to the grotesque from companies to groups.The understanding of those nuances under the viewpoint of politics may provide the audience with clues in order to articulate the draft logic behind he aesthetics of theatre from Quito.
