Abstract

The texts of Publicity are an interesting area for researching not only from the reader ́s point of view (reading activity) but also in relation with the language they are built with. Starting from some previous analysis about foreign words in Spanish Publicity, in this piece of work we identify and characterise these words, many of them are technical ones belonging to computers and mobile phones areas. We will follow the recommendations from the Real Academia Española shown in the academic dictionaries. This research work consists of a corpus of more than 350 advertisements which appeared between 2011 and 2014 in Spanish newspapers and magazines. They are a quite enclosed group of foreign words, most of them coming from English, that repeat themselves time and time again in the specific area of technology.
