Abstract
Binding properties of lectins to the membrane of isolated adult human and rat cardiocytes and to the outer layers of the sarcolemma and the interstitial tissue were investigated by indirect immunofluorescence studies. Specific binding sites were determined with isolated membrane fractions from human and rat myocardium by Western blot analysis.
