Lecidea soredioatrobrunnea sp. nov. from Turkey, the first saxicolous true Lecidea with soredia. – Herzogia 34: 55 –61.The new sterile saxicolous species Lecidea soredioatrobrunnea is described. It is characterized by a greenish grey, areolate thallus with distinct soralia. The new species is known from Turkey. Phylogenetic analysis with the mitochondrial small subunit (mtSSU) sequences revealed that it clustered with a high degree of certainty inside Lecidea s. str., but it differs from all other Lecidea species by bearing soredia.
