Abstract

Lecidea roseotincta sp. nov. is described from Norway. The species is mainly characterized by a white to grey or ± pink, amyloid thallus containing psoromic acid, black apothecia with a weakly developed proper margin, 16‐spored asci without a well defined ocular chamber, and simple or 1‐septate, medially constricted spores. It grows on bark of deciduous trees, mainly Alnus incana, in coastal sites.
