Abstract
The paper discusses about the challenges and learnings to image and test a deep trap abutting against salt in the Ghaba Basin, North Oman. While seismic on its own showed strong limitations to delineate salt bounded traps, it is believed that extensive gravity modelling relying on dense dataset and constrained by 3D seismic will allow a better and more confident evaluation of deep prospects in the Ghaba Basin.
