Ray Jeffery received his Ph.D. in sociology from Indiana University where he studied with E. H. Sutherland. He has held postdoctoral fellowshihps at the University of chicago Law School and the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Jeffery has served as editor of Criminology as well as Vice President and President of the American Society of Criminology, and he has received the Bloch Award and the sutherland Award from ASC. Last year he was a Fulbright-Hays research fellow to the Netherlands where he studied the impact of psychobiology on Dutch criminology.
