Abstract
This article is an introductory review of learning philosophies and theories directly associated with human learning. We present an introduction to educational foundations followed by major sections on the two foundational areas of learning philosophy and learning theory. The focus of this article is on educational foundations; the goal is to help the individual understand the foundational relationships between learning philosophy and learning theory. The purpose is to set the underlying principles by which learning decisions are made.
