Abstract
After what I’ve affectionately referred to as a bit of a “gap year,” I’m back working in higher education campus safety fulltime. While I’ve been able to enjoy the opportunity to venture into some select security consulting and assessment work during this time, I’ve remained confident that I would like to re‐engage within a leadership role once more in higher education. In particular, I knew I’d like to re‐engage with a leadership role in higher education within a public safety department, perhaps to include the familiar concurrent oversight of parking, emergency services management, and special events security.
