Abstract

This research is motivated by the regulation of the Ministry of Education and Culture regarding the implementation of education during Covid-19 pandemic which requires the implementation of distance learning using online learning media. The purpose of this study was to find out the history of school formation, differences in learning before and after pandemic, challenges faced and learninf strategies implemented by SD 8 Muhammadiyah Tulangan during Covid-19 pandemic. The method used is qualitative with the observation, interview, question and answer. The results of thsi study can be concluded that SD 8 Muhammadiyah has a combination of learning strategies between face to face learning and online learning or what is commonly referred to blended learning method. The blended learning methods that is implemented in SD 8 Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo are conducting learning activities through zoom application for better material delivery and conducting study visits to students’ homes directly to share opinions and views between teacher, parents, and students as well as to find out advantages and disadvantages of online learning so far.

Pendahuluan

Pandemi Covid-19 telah membawa dampak yang cukup luas di banyak bidang kehidupan salah satunya bidang pendidikan. Kasus pertama muncul di Indonesia pada awal Maret 2020 dan terus bertambah hingga saat ini. Kemudian pada tanggal 24 maret 2020 Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia mengeluarkan Surat Edaran Nomor 4 Tahun 2020 tentang Pelaksanaan Kebijakan Pendidikan Dalam Masa Darurat Penyebaran COVID, dalam Surat Edaran tersebut dijelaskan bahwa proses belajar dilaksanakan di rumah melalui pembelajaran daring/jarak jauh untuk mengantisipasi penyebaran Covid-19 yang semakin luas. Meskipun pembelajaran daring dapat menjadi solusi penunjang di tengah pandemi Covid-19, namun terdapat kendala karena munculnya masalah lain yang berkaitan dengan kurangnya akses jaringan yang tidak lancar, beban biaya data untuk mengakses aplikasi yang mahal, ketidaksiapan guru mengadaptasi teknologi, keterbatasan media elektronik siswa, orang tua yang kurang sinergis dengan guru dalam mendampingi anak belajar di rumah, hingga siswa yang terputus secara emosional dan sosial dengan siswa lainnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai strategi pembelajaran di SD Muhammadiyah 8 tulangan selama pembelajaran daring.[2]
