Abstract
This paper presents a study on the recognition of personality traits from text in Brazilian Portuguese. Based on the well-known Big Five model of personality, we collected a basic linguistic-computational resource - which can be seen as a parallel corpus of texts and personality inventories - and then use this resource to build supervised models of personality recognition from Facebook status updates.
