Abstract
This chapter looks at how citizens learn about and from partisan media. It examines what partisans think about media bias and find that partisans frequently reach different conclusions about the presence of bias. Factors that one might hope would help citizens to keep their partisanship in check when evaluating the media don't seem to help much at all. Political knowledge emerges as a key factor in understanding not only perceptions of media bias but also partisan selective exposure. Political knowledge both causes and to some extent is influenced by partisan selective exposure.
