Abstract

Technological change in the network (ICT) industry has been well noted. Can Technological change be addressed by board of directors of these companies? If so, is it possible for these directors to use their networks to learn or follow fads and cope up with technological change. In this paper this exciting and current phenomenon is investigated from top management point of view and evidence is presented about the importance of board of directors in high technology firms. Besides the empirical phenomenon is used to substantiate the neo institutional theories of organisation and how the symbolic action of directors is sufficient to handle technological change
