Abstract

All participation in in-service training is always part of a personal learning-project. For the individual participation in in-service training makes sense either in relation to her present job-situation or in relation to her private future career plans — or most frequently in relation to both! To include both these elements within a personal learning-project the individual adopts a double perspective on evaluation of in-service training. This is comprised partly of an employee perspective, where the present organization and work-situation is the context of meaning, partly of an individual perspective where the context of meaning is constituted by private work and future career plans. The notion of a double perspective on evaluation of in-service training may also benefit the development of theories on organizational learning.
