Abstract
Infant rabbits injected into the cisterna magna with 1% aluminum chloride in solution develop widespread neurofibrillary changes. About a half of the animals survive for long periods with little or no overt signs of aluminum toxicity. They do show a statistically significant learning deficit in a water maze.
