Abstract

Continuous learning is one of the most important aspect for any organization to sustain in this VUCA environment. So, organizations have to invest in effective training and development for employees tend to achieve both short and long-term benefits. Employees tends to become outdated, and therefore making the need to adapt to the continuous learning and updating of the skill and knowledge is necessary for an organization to grow in terms of technological advancements. Thus, there is imperative need to effectively manage training programs across discipline training program within the organization to aid employees to explore and enhance their dexterity which will improve in problem solving techniques that are used for the root cause analysis (RCA) and solution development. Therefore, training and development is vital to the organizations to develop skilled workforce. Competence Management is the key for the success of any organization with the current business environment so defining the competence management framework and process for the execution and management becomes vital for the success of the organizations. It’s also essential to build the product level knowledge to the working group for the improved quality in work deliverables and to continuously improve the product.In this publication, the details of the competence management process and approach followed is explained. Also, the approach is successfully piloted in our location. The details of the pilot outcomes, lessons learnt, and next steps also outlined briefly.
