Athletics departments throughout the country have understandable concerns about student‐athletes’ potential exposure to COVID‐19, especially since individual medical outcomes can greatly vary. In addition, because the potential long‐term health consequences of COVID‐19 remain unknown, the lifelong impact and cost of exposure remain uncertain but could be significant.
