Abstract

Beginning counselors often struggle to conceptualize LGBTQ clients due to personal or religious beliefs. Counselor educators must be prepared to encourage and navigate discomfort from students that may arise due to personal beliefs. We offer a new model for navigating difficult LGBTQ dialogue in the counselor education classroom.
