Abstract

As the Director of the Division of STD Prevention in the National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA, USA, he comments: “We have seen over the past two decades an effective reduction of the buying power of public funding for the control and prevention of STDs, which has resulted in reductions in screening, treatment, prevention, and partner services.
