Abstract

A leaf‐chamber design that uses two air seals to facilitate measurements of photosynthesis and transpiration of sections of intact grass leaves is described. A leaf port in either end allows a leaf to be inserted in one end and moved through the chamber, and out the opposite end. The chamber can be moved along the leaf to measure photosynthesis of any section of the leaf. The chamber length dictates the length of leaf section that is measured.
