Abstract
One day in 2009, Nita Patel strapped herself into a soldier's gear and maneuvered through the woods and hills of an outdoor training course. On this course, Patel, a systems and software section manager at L-3 Warrior Systems, Insight, in Londonderry, New Hampshire, got a first-hand look at how soldiers in the field use the night vision systems she and her team design and build.
