Abstract

Leadership excellence is a central concern of most successful CEOs and leaders today. Leadership excellence is a much discussed topic among researchers as well as HR practitioners as well. However, the question about the strategies and tools to be used in practical world to ensure the achievement of leadership excellence is often not very well shared. While most of us speak about it very often, it is not easy to clearly define the ingredients of a framework to ensure leadership excellence in a practical organizational context. In other words the “Leadership Excellence Attainment Determinants,” abbreviated as LEAD seems to be a worthwhile topic for not only HRD professionals but also social and political scientists in general. Dr.Sethu Madhavan Puravangara and Dr. Yehya Al Marzouqi elaborate this interesting concept its applications in corporate life in this paper. This paper summarizes the lessons learned from my professional life while helping different types of organizations by designing solutions to achieve leadership excellence as well as the lessons learned through interactions and challenges from a large number of professionals belonging to client organizations and employer organizations and participants of various conferences where I have shared these lessons over the time.
