Abstract
Current theories of managerial leadership focus on the manager's concern for the task and for people, and their relationship to work productivity and satisfaction. But more attention should be given a third dimension of leadership behavior: the extent to which an organization excites its members through a charismatic leader. Those actions that organization leaders might perform to turn-on an organization and attract and hold high quality personnel must not be ignored.
