Abstract
When Chris King looks back over his 23-year career in college athletics, he recalls a particularly challenging time. It was the 2014–15 academic year, when the University of Texas Pan American and the University of Texas at Brownsville both closed and transitioned to form a new institution, the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
