Abstract

A lead-ion cementation system was investigated using an iron rotating disc. The extent of lead removal and excess iron consumption in similar conditions to those of lead-bearing wastewater were determined experimentally. Determinations were made for different values of pH, rotating disc speed, temperature and initial lead-ion concentration. The experimental data were compared by means of rate coefficients. The efficiency of lead removal was tested using wastewater from the manufacture of storage batteries.
