Abstract
Lead chromates are known to be the most versatile of all inorganic pigments. Therefore, it is worth-while to review the present position of this class of pigments. The chemistry of chrome yellows and molybdate oranges will be discussed in connection with the factors which determine shade and performance. The properties are related to the performance of other inorganic as well as organic pigments.
