Abstract

In the book of Ecclesiastes, as in the rest of the Hebrew Bible, the Masoretic text is often a fairly reliable indicator when it comes to preserving the difficult language forms. This chapter shows that the corrections of the text met the discomfort of some great teachers of Judaism to the radical criticism Qoheleth for those who claim to acquire wisdom.
