Abstract
Precisely because it is running out for him, time becomes much more important for a patient with cancer than for the rest of us. Sometimes his worst enemy, time can also be of great help for a better understanding of himself and his disease. Subjective time is indeed far more revealing than objective time. A precise phenomenology of internal timeconsciousness when one suffers from cancer is therefore needed in order to seize the true nature of time.
