Abstract

Afferent loop syndrome is a mechanical obstruction of the afferent loop by adhesions, internal hernia, twisting of the handle,stricture of the anastomotic mouth or neoplastic recurrence. It is a rare complication that usually occurs after gastrectomy followed by Roux-en Y gastro-jejunal anastomosis. We report a rare case of this syndrom occurred after Roux-en Y hepatico-jejunal anastomosis.
