Abstract

Sociological research carried out on students in professional highschools reveals that the apprehension of knowledge proceeds from he convergence of different elements coming as much from the social and scholastic backgrounds of the students as from the educational setting. This involves knowledge and activities requiring the students to constantly strive to make sense of the different subject matters being taught. From this perspective, the socialization of apprentices must be understood within the context of scholarly activities and in relation to the socio-subjectivity of these activities.
