Abstract
The miners' union of the French Nord-Pasde-Calais led by Émile Basly played a major role in the history of French trade-unionism. Its international influence, though, is rather ignored. From the 1910's, the Asturias coal mining industry saw the development of a miners' trade-union following Émile Basly's path towards a reformist policy. The author investigates the question of this political transfer and tries to explain the long-term consolidation of this type of trade-unionism in the Asturian mining milieu.
