Abstract
This paper presents a study of the now lost Neumagen relief which depicts an ancient library with papyrus rolls. it gives special attention to the circumstances of the publication, in Liege in 1670, by the printer Jean Matthias Hovius, of Ch. Brouwer's and J. Masen's Antiquitatum et Annalium Trevirensium libri XXV, which contains a drawing of this relief.
