Abstract

Pubic symphysis pain in urology was generally view in a context of painful syndrome. Clinical examination allows an easy orientation for the diagnosis in the case of acute pain and chronic urological pain (bladder and prostate pain particularly). However some chronic pain can cause confusion because of irradiation or projected pain as it can be observed in the case of testicular pain, referred pain from thoraco-lumbar hinge or post-operative pain in the groin or abdominal parietal region. Finally, in case of hypersensitivity, pubic pain can be at the forefront while they are not the starting point of the symptoms. This article aims to make a focus on different pain related to pubic symphysis that we can observed in urology. Their knowledge allows to revise the diagnosis to propose an appropriate therapeutic management.
