Le paradis dans le nouveau monde ? Un messianisme andin d'aujourd'hui

Abstract

Is Peru a privileged land according to Ezequiel Ataucusi' s folio wers assertations ? Are the Incas going to leave their hiding place in order to ensure the persecuted prophet's triumph ? After giving a brief description of the latter we will present the most marking features of a « new religion » based upon both the Andean tradition and a radical interprétation of the Bible. Furthermore, the surprising fact is the social and political dimension of a movement which does not hesitate to présent candidates for presidency and for Parliament. It may well be said that for the time being this people is sailing with wind and tide !
